Position Types

 Full Time Equivalent:

1) 5 workdays per week with 2 days off. (no guarantee of hours) OR  6 workdays per week with 1 day off. (no guarantee of hours) with a 4-day break once per month. Hiring to FTE positions will require you to follow these guidelines:

2) Regular workdays are Thursday to Sunday with 3 weekend days off per month. (Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays.)

3) Must be willing to do Visit Supervisions when asked.

4) Holidays must be submitted for approval at least 30 days in advance. Requested days may not always be approved. Management needs to examine the availability of our workforce to cover the days in question. The worker may need to choose alternate days that do not impair the company’s ability to do business. After one full year of employment, FTE employees may request up to 5 weeks of holidays per year.

5) A scheduled day of work may involve more drives than were originally on the worker’s schedule. Workers must be willing do extra drives when asked. This generally only happens in the case of a short morning drive or a cancellation.

6) Workers must do whatever drives are assigned to them. There are drives and supervisions that are not great, but everyone is expected to take their turn. Management makes every effort to spread them around as much as possible. As per company safety policy, unsafe road or working conditions constitute legitimate reasons for refusing a drive.

7) FTE employees will be given drives before Part-time or Casual employees.

8) FTE employees will be eligible for a pay raise after 3 months, provided they are able to fulfill all these expectations.

Part Time:

 1) Work 2 to 4 days per week. This position allows an employee to submit which days they are available each week, provided at least 3 of those days are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday of each week. Management will ensure 1 weekend off per month.

2) Are eligible for up to 8 weeks of unpaid leave per year, pending above guidelines regarding approval.

Casual:

Can accept or reject drives and/or supervisions at their discretion.

Note: If an employee hires on for FTE employment and demonstrates a lack of conformance to the expectations of this position, the result shall be a shift to a Part Time position for that employee.
