Services

Supported Family Time

We provide family supervision services, in an effort to ensure that children in need can spend quality time with their parents in a safe and meaningful way.

When a visit is scheduled, the Family can count on a professional, compassionate, understanding worker to confirm all the visit details ahead of time, and arrive to the visit on time. The worker will transport up to 5 passengers* to and from the visit location. We understand that every family is unique and we will work to tailor the experience to the unique needs of each individual family. During the visit, our workers will only be as involved as is required. We can be counted on to offer parenting tips and cues, help deescalate situations, and support the parents, as well as the children. We can also be counted on to sit quietly in the corner as a “fly on the wall” if that is what’s required. Every Supported Family Time Visit comes complete with a detailed report that will fairly and objectively represent the situation and events as they happen. Reports protect the privacy as well as the location and Identity of the foster parents.

Family Preservation

Every family is unique. Every family deserves a chance at success. The goal of our Family Preservation Program is to give every family their chance at success. We work very closely with family members, caseworkers, network members and all other stakeholders to customise an approach to success that meets the needs of each family. Our compassionate, professional staff will work diligently toward building up family members so that they may gain momentum and eventually succeed on their own. Family members can count on their preservation worker to be resource for advice, a source of encouragement, or just a shoulder to cry on. Every family deserves a chance to be happy and united, and we will make it our mission to facilitate that outcome. Relationships are very important. Our workers will work hard to develop trusting relationships with persons served in all cases. Our workers understand boundaries. As a result, we are very capable of creating meaningful relationships without becoming too attached or too personal with the clients that we serve.

Youth Mentoring

Youths of today face a variety of challenges. From dysfunctional families, to drug addiction, to pregnancy, our Youth Mentors are here to help guide youths in need through their individual challenges. We can provide guidance, accountability, and sometimes the simplest, most meaningful thing of all… A Friend. We will always pair a Youth Mentor with a youth that is the right fit for their personality. Some youth respond better to women, and some to men. Some need a parental figure, and some need a role model. These factors are important to consider when choosing a Youth Mentor. As always, patience, understanding, compassion, and professionalism underpin every relationship we build.
